I dislike the term “geriatric pregnancy,” and to be honest, “advanced maternal age” isn’t much better. In France, a pregnancy over the age of 40 is referred to as “grossesse tardive,” which translates to late pregnancy, similar to being late for a plane, train, or party. The French truly have a way of making everything elegant.
